James Ford
Managing Director
James Ford joined Charles R. Weber in 1987 as a broker. He became a director in 2001 and Managing Director in January 2008. James is a past Manager of the ASBA Tanker Broker Panel and President of ASBA. James was a director at Seascope Shipping and prior to that worked at John I. Jacobs in London. James was educated at Sandhurst Military Academy.

Peter Howard-Johnson
Director

Peter Howard-Johnson joined Charles R. Weber in 1985 as a broker and became a director in 2001. Peter presently serves as the co-manager of the ASBA Tanker Broker Panel and is a Director of the Worldscale Association. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber he was a tanker broker at D and L Services and worked for U.S. Lines and Mobil Shipping and Transportation. Peter graduated from Bucknell University in 1981.

Lawrence P. Jordan
Director

Lawrence P. Jordan joined Charles R. Weber in 1988 in the operations department. Larry became a broker in 1990 and a director in 2001. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Larry worked at Gibbs and Cox. He graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1986 with an Unlimited Third Mates license.

George T. Eden joined Charles R. Weber in 1986 in the operations department, became a broker in 1987 and a director in 2001. George graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1986 with an Unlimited Third Mates license.

Daniel O'Donnell Jr.
Director

Daniel O'Donnell Jr. joined Charles R. Weber in 1994 in the operations department and became a broker in 1997. He graduated from Catholic University in 1993.

Director

Christos Alexandrou joined Charles R. Weber in 1998 as a broker. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Christos worked at Southport Maritime and Howard Houlder Tankers. Christos graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Social Psychology from Loughborough University, England.

Keith Abbott joined Charles R. Weber in 1999 as a broker. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Keith worked for Poten and Partners. Keith graduated from Eckerd College in 1986.
 
 
 
Christos G. Papanicolaou
Director of Business Development
Christos Papanicolaou joined Charles R. Weber in 2013 as Director of Business Development, bringing years of experience in ship finance, capital markets, S&P and projects. Prior to joining Weber, Christos was Founder and Officer of Universal Maritime, Inc., an oil major-backed equity offering structure and was Founder and Managing Director of GP Trading. Previously, Christos spent over 20 years at Groton Pacific Carriers, where he was involved in all aspects of tanker ownership. Christos sits on the board of several shipping and non-shipping entities and has recently acted as advisor in two ship finance restructurings. Christos was educated at Hofstra University.
Christopher Aversano

Christopher Aversano joined Charles R. Weber in 2002 as a broker. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Chris was employed at ExxonMobil and Mobil. Chris sailed as AB and Deck Officer on Coastwise U.S. Flag Product Tankers for Mobil. He graduated from SUNY Maritime College in 1994 with an Unlimited Third Mates license and graduated from American University with MBA in Finance in 2001.

Kevin Breen

Kevin Breen joined Charles R. Weber in 2001 as a broker. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Kevin worked at Islandia Chartering and Maritime Direct. Kevin graduated from SUNY Maritime College in 2000 with an Unlimited Third Mates license.
Juan R. Gomez
Broker
Juan Gomez joined the Projects Group of Charles R. Weber in 2010. Prior to joining Weber, Juan worked for Heidmar in Connecticut from 1997, first as Commercial Director and subsequently as Vice President of the Commodities Group. Prior to that, Juan spent 10 years at Petroleos de Venezuela in Caracas. Juan obtained an MSc in Maritime Affairs from World Maritime University, Sweden, in 1991.
Laura Mirabella

Laura Mirabella joined Charles R. Weber in 2006 as a broker. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Laura worked at OMI Corporation and Heidenreich Marine. After earning a BS in Marine Transportation and Business and an Unlimited Third Mates license from SUNY Maritime College, Laura completed a MS degree in Ocean Transport and Trade.

John Kulukundis joined Charles R. Weber as Director of Research in 2005. Prior to that John worked as a tanker and projects broker for Charles R. Weber and various European and Far East brokerages. He worked on the chartering desk for ship owners London and Overseas Freighters and was at sea for two years.
George P. Los
Senior Market Analyst
George Los joined Charles R. Weber in 2009 as a Research Analyst. George previously worked at Capital Link as an Investor Relations Associate representing US-listed shipping companies. George graduated from the American University in 2005 with a BA in History and International Relations and completed an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School, City University London, in 2008.
 
 
 
 
Len Faucher
Operations Manager
Len Faucher joined the operations department of Charles R. Weber in 2007, and became Operations Manager in May 2008. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Len held operations and supply scheduling positions at Hess Corporation and sailed as a third mate with Masters Mates and Pilots. Len graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1999 with an Unlimited Third Mates License and earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire in 2004. Len is on the board of the Connecticut Maritime Association.

Michael Alban

Michael P. Alban joined the operations department of Charles R. Weber in 2000. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Mike worked for Odin Marine and Texaco. Mike graduated from Rider University in 1972.
Edward J. Pavone
Operations
Edward Pavone joined the Operations Department of Charles R. Weber in 2011. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Edward sailed for Alaskan Tanker Company. Edward holds a BA in History from Buffalo State College and an MS in International Transportation Management from SUNY Maritime College.
Dave Fillis
Operations
Dave Fillis joined the Operations Departmentof Charles R. Weber in 2012. Prior to joining Charles R. Weber, Dave worked at Heidmar Inc. as a vessel manager in the Star and Dorado Pools. Dave is a 1996 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and holds an unlimited tonnage Third Mate's License. Dave is on the board of the Connecticut Maritime Association.
